Ifixed it by adding Enlightenment to /etc/X11/xdm/Xsession
as explained from the following site.

I have installed enlightenment and entrance from rpm on my FC4 machine.
I chnaged the line from /etc/inittab as follows to start entrance:
# Run xdm in runlevel 5
#x:5:once:/etc/X11/prefdm -nodaemon
x:5:once:/usr/sbin/entranced -nodaemon
Entrance stats up nicely, but however it won'
I had the same problem. Turns out it was my theme. Try switching to
default to see if it works.

Try dumping your ~/.e/e/config folder and see what happens. I had some
similar problems at one time and that helped tons.
