I had the same problem on my gentoo box after updating ecore. Updating e17
again solved the problem for me.

yes i think is a great things and a very smart move from Sony
i only hope that they will "support" *any* distro to be installed on the PS3

I build yesterday all the package of e17 from clean source. Despite the
missing dist.rpath and a missing AM_PROG_AC in etk configure.in I have
been able to rebuild my whole environment using WANT_AUTOMAKE=1.9, yes I
have automake-1.10 install, and yes I use Gentoo. But I really do have a
