i am using DR16.8, and i was wondering about the
following settings:
is it possible to open (pull out) the icon box using
key shortcuts? I know there Alt-Tab that allows to
swap between application s and icons, but my question
is rather icon box oriented.

A little more especific about how complex filemanger do you need.
for me thunar v. 0.8.0 works fine, it`s "light" and functional. i heard rox
filemanager is another good alternative (never tested it)
