Hello,
I installed e16-0.16.8.13-0.01 in my openSuSE 10.3 box.
Then, my system often reverted to the login screen.
What's the matter, I wondered for a while.
I notied! I uninstalled it, and reinstalled e16-0.16.8.12.
That's it. This solved my problem.
Is this specific to me only?

according to this thread

adding
xmodmap -e "keycode 113 = Alt_L ISO_Prev_Group ISO_Prev_Group NoSymbol
ISO_Prev_Group"
to your ~/.bashrc
