I crack open the two Elm source files that call edje_scale and comment out
the lines that trigger scaling - this way only E controls the scaling and
the issue is gone (I've already built this way and can confirm it works)

May be interesting..but I do have some funny facts:
* Its as beta as gmail
* Even in beta, it crashed less that winXP, even when I compiled it myself,
even when it fancier in manya aspects
* I don't recall the exact date, but until very recently, it was considered
