And do you have emotion_generic_players installed, or just emotion?
Emotion provides just the gstreamer backend, in order to have the vlc
backend you need to install also emotio

I've just installed Enlightenment on my laptop and have it mostly working , bar
the same issue with
"tyls -m" and "no players available". Being a laptop it's on a WiFi connection
and I have a new issue;
I've managed to follow the connman instructions and have a working connman wifi
