Howdy folks,
I'm going to be doing a series of presentations on a few development
technologies, and I'd like to do it without having to start up Gnome or KDE,
because I look like a goof when using goofy DE's. I know many of you have
done presentations at conferences before.
Does anyone have a

Hey gents,
I'm using an old thinkpad and trying to get e17 screen rotation to work.
A simple workaround seems to be that I could write a toggle script to get
and set the Resolution settings -> Screen rotation config option, binding it
to the laptop's screen rotation button, but I cannot figure ou

Yes all the e libs are coming from svn via the easy-e17 script. Everything
else is Ubuntu repositories. It is possible that the upgrade is a red
herring, but I had successfully compiled e17 from svn (easy script again)
less than a week before upgrade and have not been able to recompile it
since.
Howdy y'all. I recently upgraded my ubuntu system to maverick, and since
that time I have been uable to build the e package itself (I'm using
easy_e.sh)
All the libs install without a problem (even e_dbus, and the libdbus-dev
packages are installed).
Here's the output, I thought someone else her

response. I guess I was just spoiled by make error messages like "LUA was
found; but lua 5.10x required".
Everything is peachy now, thanks!

I am hoping someone can shed some light on the lua dependency requirement
for edje. i haven't gotten edje to build in a while, it always fails to
find LUA, though I have installed the lua and lua-dev 5 series (I'm on
ubuntu jaunty). The output just claims that it cannot find LUA (not that
Ah-- almost too easy!
Thanks!

I am rather digging the "everything" module, but I feel like I don't quite
know how to work it. Is there a readme/howto/help or anything available
which I am just unable to locate? I have not been able to get the tracker
frontend working, nor the spellcheck, calculator, etc... but I feel l

Hello,
I'm having problems using enlightenment_remote from a virtual terminal. If
I issue the command enlightenment_remote from the vt prompt (not xterm,
eterm, etc--they work fine), I get an error "The E_IPC_SOCKET environment

(FR,US,IS,EL), but in e no layouts are shown and now switching is available.
Any clue as to why this funny behavior might exist?
Thanks!

Anyone else know of any good keyboard indicators / keyboard switchers? The
language module was working fine for me until I upgraded to ubuntu intrepid

Howdy,
sorry to bombard this mailing list with my personal difficulties, but I've
just updated e17, completely removing my ~/.e directory in order to erase my
settings, and have found that the new b_and_w theme has no usable fonts for
me. Nothing shows up in title bars, desktop menu, with file ma
/me smacks forehead.
wow.
That was simple and obvious enough, but thanks! I was getting quite sick of
gnome!
Peace,

Perhaps this is already common knowledge, or perhaps I'm the only one having
problems, but e_dbus (and, thus, e as well) has failed to build for the past
week or so (since the inclusion of eina, I suspect). I'm on ubuntu, using
easy_e17.sh, and I get this error (and, yes, eina is already installed
I've got e17 updated sources, and i've enabled the mixer module, but it only
seems to recognize--if you can call it that--a "dummy" sound card, and
doesn't change any settings. Should I bother trying to get it recognize my
card, somehow, or is it simply not functional yet
ts current
implimentation gets in the way, or is it just a pain to maintain with other
changes?

I figured I would let this go for a while in case the error was a fix
waiting to make it upstream, but for the last month or so, I've noticed that
shelf auto-hides do not work for shelves on the west or east edges of the
screen. The shelves dissappear on configuring them to auto-hide, but there
is
a simple file cut/copy/paste, whether through ctrl+x/c/v, through DND, or
contexts menus, is the only thing keeping fm2 from being totally usable
IMHO, but I'm wondering if I just missed it... I checked the TODO, and I
didn't see anything on adding these cut/paste, is it already implemented
somewh
mandline start option so that I can
program firefox to use efm instead of nautilus and/or nothing.
Thanks!

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I cannot find the command for
launching efm. I read through all the enlightenment_remote --help options,
and I couldn't find a relevant option. Am I looking in the wrong place?
Thanks,
Jackson
p.s. does anybody know how to change t
ve between icelandic, old-greek, modern latin, japanese and other
character sets...but for some reason I cannot figure out how to get the
module to recognize my locales. Is the module working, or does someone
know how to make it functional or precisely what it does?
grazi
for a convenient way to switch keyboard locales. I realize that the
best answer to my problem would be a keyboard indicator module for e17,
but as that probably doesn't exist in any form yet, I'd like to know
what others are
?
Thanks,
