I have noticed this behavior as well, but I think the issue is the way
in which you tell E17 to "remember" the properties of that window. After
some examination and research, I have found that if I tell E17 to
"remember" the window properties (ie border style) using a certain
method such as:

I want to thank everyone in the community for such a great desktop !
One thing I think I have run into is using entrance and autologin, the
dev files for my nvidia card do not get appropriate permissions when
autologin is used.

I get this error upon updating to Didier's evas.x86_64 0.9.9.035-1.20061025

just wondering if I am missing a library, have a wrong one installed?
perhaps it is time for me bite the bullet
Rather, I look forward to E17 on FC6 distro with x86_64(smp) architecture.

Just pondering the timeline for any simple updates with these variables;
I haven't noted any recent updates to the website or repository. I would
be happy to help, but I don't have the time to track down library
discrepancies or dependency issues. I am neither intimate with fedora
libs nor e17
I know I may be considered lazy, but are there any rpms for e17 on 64
bit architecture ? I really like Didier's repo for e17, but I am running
into troubles with my new 64 bit notebook. Off topic, but can I install
simultaneous 32 and 64 bit libraries (xine-lib specifically)? I wouldn't

Thanks Didier, I didn't realize those packages were installed on my
system. A simple remove is all I needed.
And thank you so much Didier for packaging e17 for FC users! You a real
benefit to the e-team for this reason!

I, too, have had trouble getting to the repo of late. I did finally just
get through to see updates available from cvs from July 31. However,
something is not resolving the libe.so.0 dependency again, namely
e-modules mount, evolume and monitor. What package is trying to install
these modules ?

Thanks all for your wonderful diligence on such a beautiful, useful

Once I create a new eap with Menu->Configuraion->Create a new
Application, where does it go. I can't seem to run eap_edit from the
command line, but the menu works. I just don't know where it is placing
