I thought i had erased all e17 libraries when i upgaded to e18 but there was a sneaky libeina.1.7.9 left under directory /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu, a directory which is included in the /etc/ld.so.conf.d/i486-linux-gnu.conf file.
