Eterm fonts are really ugly in Ubuntu 8 (64). (very rastery)
Using the exact same theme/fonts in Suse looks perfectly fine.
I vaguley remember having to do something to the X font server config to
make everything happy.
Anyone have a clue?

Use a different theme for the pager.
Open the theme configuration panel and highlight 'pager' in the left column and
then highlight 'default' in the theme column. Hit apply and then restart E.

I made desktop files like the ones below, and on the ibar, the icons are
as listed in the desktop files. But everywhere else, they use
pyrrho.png.

I (like others) use multiple Eterms on different remote servers and each window
used to have its own icon making it
My custom eap files
used to be able to make e17 use a different icon based on window name instead of
class.
Now they all use the
same generic 'Eterm' icon.
