Hi,
I don't really understand what you mean. SDDM, lightDM etc are 'Display
Managers'. KDE, Gnome, XFCE4 etc. are 'Desktop Environments' and within
a Desktop Environment is a Window Manager. For KDE it's Kwin, for XFCE4
it's xfwm and so on. Enlightenment is not exactly a complete Desktop

Hi,
In my experience Firefox will now force a GTK (4?) Window unless you
tell it not to. If you don't have a GTK 4 theme or libadwaita etc. on
your system that it can use it will appear without a title bar. If you

Hi,
If you look at the Enlightenment git Repositories and the commits it
becomes apparent that some things are being maintained and some things
aren't. In my experience outside of main Enlightenment itself things are
very hit and miss and many things have not seem commits for 3 years or
more.
Hi,
Is there something you need specifically in Enlightenment GIT? If you're
on Debian, Trixie has Enlightenment 0.27.1 which is the current release,
further to that if you install the mentioned efl-dev package then
building most common E add-ons (rage, entice, evisum, etc..) is very
easy.
Hi,
Further to some questions earlier today on IRC regarding Enlightenment

Here is a screenshot listing the contents of my current Profile:

Hi,
I don't have a direct answer for the specific icon question, I will say
that if you have xdg-user-dirs installed on your system and add it to
your E startup programs from the 'System' tab then you will get all of
the traditional XDG folders (Downloads, Documents, Music, Video, etc.)

I don't receive raster's replies to my inbox, I seem to get everyone

Hi,
For some reason I didn't get the email with rasters original reply, I
wish I hadn't TBH... I didn't ask for any outside code or any other FM
to be added to E, it's raster's module! I also didn't specify that
'Places' should be set up for any application outside of E so as things

Hi Vincent and thanks!
To be honest I try to built with what Debian/MX provides as far as the
basic wheels and chassis stuff for the DE (although I recently broke my
own rules by adding the Places module). Basically Debian/MX provides

Hi,
I recently discovered the optional 'Places' module for Enlightenment and
I really like it. It seems most projects deploying Enlightenment as
installable Live Media are depending on outside File Managers (Thunar
seems to be the first pick) and Places makes this much easier to

Hello Enlightenment mailing listers!
For anyone interested there is a new Base version of AV Linux MX Edition
released. AV Linux is based on MX Linux and Debian Bookworm and has used
Enlightenment (E 0.25.4) since moving to Bookworm last year. Many thanks

Of course we are, for me E17 was the main reason to seriously start looking
at/using linux (I like eye-candy :-) in the beginning. Now I can't do wothout
it.
The same goes for a few of my friends who I now have "converted" to linux-h
