To get e16 and the epplets working on RH-8.0, RH-9, or Fedora Core 1
you should install the rh9 rpm's, i.e.
fnlib-0.5-2.rh9.i386.rpm
enlightenment-0.16.6-1.rh9.i386.rpm
epplets-0.7-1.rh9.i386.rpm
Any missing dependencies should be installed from the distribution.

The list of the rpms/tars i installed are
e16utils -- menuedit, keyedit
ecore-i386-0.0.2
