Sorry taking so long to reply, but yes, Raster and Ivan are right. If

Worth noting that there none of engines were accelerated (fb, directfb
or x11).

I'd not trade ease of use and development state of x11 if possible.
Most applications and libraries were written for x11 and lead
development happens there, so you will get more testing, fixes and
optimizations there. And it's not a huge overhead as people claim.

Nonetheless, you can use our libraries with FB, DirectFB or anything
else, including Win32, just the window manager (adds border to windows
and like) is tied to X11.
