Hi,
I wanted to use erss with proxy authentication. I saw the sample config
on http://get-e.org/Documentation/User_Guide_pages/4.5.html and could
set the proxy server and the port, but not the username and password. I
tried to give username:[EMAIL PROTECTED] but it didn't
work... :(

I don't know what this is about, but I thought I'd report it.
Recently, I began testing eRSS. I compiled it against very recent EFLs
from CVS. What happens is that regardless of the desktop, KDE,
enlightenment, ROX, xfce, eRSS simply disappears off the desktop after a
time.

I checked out Erss from CVS recently to kick the tyres and give it a
spin... I've been using Snownews and wanted to see how Erss
compared. Everything compiled just fine, but some of the sample config
files cause the program to grind to a halt.
For example, running
erss -c bbc_science
works
