I moved it all local, eliminated all quotes, simplified the install.ini file, and ran it using no quotes (C:\temp>firefo~1.exe /ini=c:\temp\ffinst.ini), but it still pins a shortcut to the taskbar. Install.ini file: [Install] QuickLaunchShortcut=false Thanks, [cid:image001.png@01

Try going down to a simple INI with just that one setting in it, run the installer from a local drive, INI in the same folder, and with a simple command line like /INI=ff_setup.ini (without any quotes). Perhaps the quotes are breaking it. -- Scott Copus, Lab Systems Engineer Academic Technolog

Officially, Microsoft dropped support for Silverlight in all non-IE browsers at the end of 2016. See the "System Requirements" tab here. But as others have said, plugins will work in Firefox ESR for another year Silver
