You don’t need to convert them. We use the same autoconfig files for our
Windows package and our Mac Firefox.app.
A bonus tip, you will probably need to clear the gatekeeper quarantine flag on
your Firefox.app after editing it: xattr -d com.apple.quarantine Firefox.app
