Group policy, and locked down browsers are great for keeping honest users
honest, and for preventing accidental security breaches, but at the end of
the day, if you need to monitor browsing activity, then the only completely
effective place to do that is at the gateway. Whether you choose to force

I also set/lock this preference:
privacy.cpd.history = false.
I think it might prevent the "Clear" Recent history from removing Browsing &
download history. There's a larger list of similar prefere

I use the cck2 to first disable Private Browsing mode, then also lock
this setting:
places.history.enabled = true
Using the cck2 I also set the "Don't allow Firefox to be reset on
about:support" setting (Miscellaneous tab) for other reasons, but I
guess in this case it would help preserve history.
I believe this has been discussed before, but I can seem to find it. My goal is
to prevent users from deleting their Firefox browser history. I do not know if
this is possible and I have been unable to find an answer using Google.
