For third party, I was thinking of programs similar to Breezebrowser,
YarcPlus, Bibble, Qimage or NC2, though they may not be compatible with the
DCS bodies. Some of those are only US$35.

Actually try the Sunpak 5000af. Has a focus assist light as well,a nd it
communicates with the camera for ISO etc.
