Hey, get some used Canon lenses, save a bundle.

Italy, but in the next 10 days someone in the US could buy it for me and bring it back
to Rome.
I have been looking at the 28-80 f/2.8-4 L which has an excel
Hi:
I used this lens and the results are pretty good. My copy is slight warm
but slightly sharper than 28-105.

All,
Has anyone used this lens?
I found a used one for 120 euros.
Would this lens be very disappointing, or would it give decent pictures?
I know it won't be as good as a prime but the 3.5 - 4.5 range is not too bad.
I also found a 20-35 f/2.8 L for 630 euros. Is that a fair price? From reviews
Need is why I currently run three different camera systems:)
Can get horridly expensive though.
Good luck!

By the way, I was receiving error 99 on my 10D and returned
it to Canon. They replaced the shutter and returned it within two weeks. I
was impressed.

If not - how much?

I believe Sigma has introduced a digital small sensor only 18-135mm, which
would approximate a 28-200 in 35mm terms. Details are on their website.

The 28-300 is undoubtedly a very good lens, but if my

A very nice camera and lens, undoubtably. And if one
lens was all I needed maybe I'd make the switch. But

Now that the 1D-Mk-II has been out for a short while, are there any comments
about this digital body? Good or bad points, or suggestions would be good
to hear from people who have had the chance to use it first hand.
Some of the info I would like to hear include if it would be worthwhile to

My camera did focus, but it could not longer raise the entire mirror.
Part of the mirror would go up, but part remained down. It left for
Canon in Irvine already. Canon should have it Monday, and they tell me
that they have a 10 to 12 day turnaround time.

I have a budget of about $1,200.
I have a Rebel 2000 body and a SLIK tripod.
I had a 28-80 kit lens, a Digital Rebel and a 85mm 1.8 which were stolen.
The only one I will miss is the 85mm. The rebel was nice, but there were a
few things I wished it had, like choosing AF (AI Servo, One shot, etc.),
