I've seen that in a few people, so I take several shots in succession of the
same image. This way there will be some with and some without eyelids shut.
If this is consistent and her eyes are always closed even with multiple
images taken, on a Canon 550EX or 580EX you can set change E-TTL to A-
Just replied Gerard. I suggested using a Vivitar 285HV flash instead of the
Canon. This way there is one flash.

Thank you. You are absolutely right, so I stand corrected. I checked the 580EX
manual and it does state that CF03-1 (which is A-TTL) is not to be used with
digital. So the choice is only manual.
Gerard, may I suggest you consider that in this situation or similar use a
different flash. P
