> It's the 500/4IS !
Wrong! It's a 600/4L IS.
1) I own the 500/4L IS and this is not it.
2) The canon name plate is on the tripod colar on this photo. The 500/4L IS
name plate is on the body.
3) It's too large to be anything smaller than the 500.

I have 75 emails from Edward, 2 of which were the original postings. 73
reptitions all in all. Looks like it was a pretty bad mail server problem.
Hopefully , that'll be the end
of it.

Afraid not. If you force the flash from not popping up, the camera will
error and not continue. Using Creative modes will stop the flash.

If Canon can achieve the above features into the new digital pro, then it
will be pretty much on par with the EOS3 and 1V.

was expecting to have to get the lens chipped, and was amazed when I didn't
have any problems with the D30. OTOH, never had any problems with the
170-500 on my EOS 3 either.

> Are there any problems using Sigma lenses on the EOS D30 digital camera?
The only sigma lens I have is the 170-500mm and I haven't noticed any
problems with this lens on the D30. It was bought about a year ago.

The ones that have complained
about autofocus hunting have usually been because they have either obscurred
the AF assist light with their fingers, or they're using a large lens that
has a diameter so large that the lens barrel blocks the AF assist light
path.
Hope this helps!

ra money for the battery grip. BG-ED3 adds
extra weight to the camera and gives you better handling if you have large
hands.
