I just sheared off a pin in my 1D and need to get it fixed. Now that I am
here in Long Beach, I would like to see if I can get it repaired locally

repair person that does Canon?

C1 can see the RAW files from your 1Ds. What version/level do you
have? The LE will read D60 files but not the 1 series files. You have to
have either the SE or Pro version.
Photoshop CS will read the RAW files as well.

Had not seen this. Thank you. Unfortunately, the incredibly slow frame
rate still has me waiting for the Mark II. I can survive with 3 fps, but
not slower than that. Kodak was hinting at something during WPPI -- this

No idea why the order would make a difference. I have done it both ways

Anyone had any experience with the Canon repair facility on the West
coast? I am wondering if anyone has had a GOOD experience with them. I
know of 2 people that have had bad experieces -- and I have a camera that
needs to go in.

Perhaps someone can help explain to me what is going on here?

unfortunately, yes, I have had a simular experience. When my shutter
blew. all 3 times. first time, leaf across middle of opening.
2nd time, one on edge that would move somewhat (letting me keep working for
part of day).
3rd time: leafs would not open until 2-3 frames into a burst.
