Hi everyone, my name is Tom Maugham and I just joined the list. I am an amateur photographer for over 40 years specializing in nature and scenic photographer.
I have an EOS Elan IIe which is about 2 years old. I recently noticed a problem with the command dial. When it is in the "off" position instead of showing the next frame number it acts as though it's in the "cal" position. Gently rocking the dial back and forth toggles between the frame number and the cal setting. Once I move the dial to any other position all is fine, the problem is only in the "off" position. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what did you do about it? Did it get worse, stay the same, or did you get it repaired. Thanks very much...
