There are times when I wonder about the sharpness of my photos with the Elan
7. Sometimes I think they are sharp, but not razor sharp. I suspect that at
times I may be imagining this or that I am misinterpreting contrast or grain
with sharpness (I haven't shot slides but do use a tripod). I suspect that
the camera is quite all right but at times find myself wondering if there
could be any potential mis-alignment of the film plane etc. My questions are:

1) If when I manually focus and depress the shutter half-way I get the green
focus light on and the tell-tale beep it means that the camera agrees with
my focus. Once I have had focus confirmed not only by the camera, but also
by my eyes, and they are in agreement with each other does that mean that all
is properly aligned or is there still some way that the focus could be 'off'.
I somehow doubt this would be the case but wonder if it is possible.

2) If it were still possible to be off, how frequently would you expect this
kind of defect to occur?
