Rich, I have not used the EOS 28-70 2.8L. I am not sure of the size differences or if the lens creeps or not. I have not used the Tokina lens enough yet to notice any creep...my guess is that it would not be too bad, if it has any at all, the zoom ring seems to be pretty tight and it is a 2 tou

EOS Tokina 28-80 2.8 update

A few weeks ago I was asking about the 28-80 Tokina lens. Well I ordered one. It came last week and I have been shooting with it a lot over the past week, have made enough with it to pay for it several times over already. On the D-30 it is a great lens. Is very sharp and delivers very crisp im
