A week or so ago, i asked the group about their experiences with this company, and nobody seemed to have any info. I took the leap, and quickly received a BP511 equivalent (1500 mAh claimed) and charger (with car adapter) via US mail.
So far, everything seems to work as claimed. I have not yet had a chance to compare the battery life to the standard canon battery. I'll post if i find anything interesting along those lines. The company is out of the Los Angeles area, and the parts are Chinese mfr (though the battery components are from Japan). They have an interesting pricing model--the total for the battery and charger was about $7.00 (!), but shipping was almost $14.00. I just looked at it as a charger and battery for about $22. As a comparison, at B&H, the batteries (all around 1300 mAh) are around $50, and the chargers range from around $100 (the canon model) to $30-40 (two that look a lot like mine). -matt -- Matt Haber dance, portrait and fashion photography http://www.matthaber.com * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
