Sorry, wiki is a bit out of date - need to trim some of the older content. I
did put together one of the 'new features' Demos for ganymede, which has
some pointers to the samples that have been produced for JAAS (and other
security features):

Yes, hopefully OpenJDK will behave in the same way as the other popular
JREs - /lib/security/cacerts. In effect, the location of cacerts is a
defacto API. It would be nice if there was API to get/set the system code
signature verification certs as a KeyStore object (or at least the path

Transition should be straightforward, but please get in touch with us if
you need help.
We are not yet aware of any clients of this API and do not expect this
will effect anyone on the Eclipse team.
Thanks,

I just posted a high-level design for the 'Trusted Bundles' or load-time
security work that Tom and I have been working on in the Security
Incubator: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Trusted_Bundles
Comments and questions are greatly appreciated.

It's purely historical. Though I haven't thought through a design on OSGi
services in detail, I can't think of a reason that it couldn't work off
the top of my head. Transitioning to services is certainly a design we can
consider going forward.

This is great news, we'll have the code posted and a guide on how to use
our sample application that does login to either a Java KeyStore or the
Operating System shortly.
The older security pages are definitely dated - I'll find out how to get
them into a more relevant state and pointing at the
