I have worked a little with teflon as a machinist. It is hard to hold in a chuck
of course and drills weirder than most plastics. You should try tapping a hole
in it. I wish I had known about these differences then as I would have looked for
differences in their machinability.
Anyway my ques
Looking at the standard Swagelok ball valves, the SS-41 to -44 series,
they come standard with PTFE/D1710, Grade 1, Class B. Everything
else in there is 316SS. I don't have a clue what the info after the '/'
means.
