I am in need of a new sound card. Iremember a few weeks ago it was decided
by the list that Sound Blaster cards is the way to go for linux because of
driver development.
I am looking at three
1) Sound Blaster 16 ( an ISA card)
2) Sound Blaster PCI16 (PCI card)
3) Sound Blaster PCI 512 ( PCI card)
I was given a HP 9150i that works fine under mandrake 7.2. The Install picks
up everything.

You can fix the master boot record with a windows bootable floppy format it
with system files, and copy microsoft fdisk onto it. Then boot from the
floppy.
then I think the syntax for fdisk is:
fdisk /MBR
You may need to specify the hard such as C: also.
