Because Yahoo makes changes to their protocols to keep other
clients off. I've had to manually input the servers before to
establish connection. Yahoo needs to get off their a*ses and
update the linux version of Yahoo Messenger.

Hey guys -
what's the problem with GAIM and KOPETE not working with YAHOO? I have no
problem accessing the Yahoo IM from my cell, but using these two above, don't
make the connection to Yahoo's IM. GAIM and KOPETE work fine with ICQ and AIM.
