check
what's the output of
./configure --help
and don't you need to
modprobe fuse
so that the kernel module is loaded.

But './configure' (for 'owfs') shows 'owfs' as disabled, and both

Seems like most people use a BSD license, a GPL license or a variant of
the LGPL. At least on Opencores.org.
