Pretty cool, but definitely not a see-through LCD screen.
Sorry.

Then it's not OCD.
OCD about time on the server requires at least 2 NTP servers being queried all
of the time, and maybe even a GPS clocking system set to 10MHz signal. And
don't forget a server process going over logs to indic
does not show r_xr_xr_x to begin with, you will need to add:
chmod a+x {path}/smbmnt
to make it executable by everyone, but it probably already is.
Thanks,

Here is how to make smbmnt run as SUID; as root run:
whereis smbmnt
(this is in /usr/bin/ on my system, so I will use that path)
chmod +s /usr/bin/smbmnt
Now, using your regular account, try you actions again. You may find

As for the original problem, if Apache, PHP4 and MYSQL are all installed, but

OK, the only thing to remember is that the IDE channel is only as fast as it's
slowest device. This is something that is fixed in the SATA standard, but IDE
still has slowdowns. Really, the IDE channel can only transfer as fast as the
slowest of the two transer rates. That means if yo
It really depends on a few things:
1) Is Microsoft distributing their code under their usual draconian EULAs?
2) Is Microsoft's work a derivative of the LGPL work, or does it simply link to
it?
3) Are they including information that the code, or that parts of the code, is

First off, do the free 9.1 to 9.2 upgrade, little tidbits fixed here and
there. Also, your iMac will run OSX, I just don't advise anything
higher than 10.2, an

Darren,
My advice would be what Bob suggested (sorry, I didn't get that one,
probably sent straight to you) and go with a bridge. Using an AP in
Bridge mode requires one that supports it, and that would make it a bit
more expensive. I did a quick check and you can find a bridge anywhere

Darren,
You are getting your terms mixed up. Instead of 54g, you should be
saying 802.11g, this is the 54Mbs standard. 802.11b is the 11Mbs standard.
The simple answer is, yes, the Linksys and other 11g routers SHOULD
work. Many people have experienced "issues" with using non AirPort
