Skype is very cool and works very well. I use it all the time on OS X,
in leiu of my work and mobile phones. It doesn't have any spyware as
far as I know (I have a pretty nazi firewall that lets me know when
weird packets are a'flowin'

A number of my coworkers are on Skype on a combination of Windows, Linux
and OSX. It has worked pretty well so far, but I'm in the process of
finding something open source and SIP based that I can replace it with.
Any ideas? Gnomeeting is out for a number of reasons.

This is the one from the same people who do a spyware infested
filesharing network isn't it...? (Sharman networks, Kazaa) it's also
proprietary and nonstandard technology.
