Overcoming a forgotten root pw is usually pretty straightforward... I've
only had to do it once but it was easy. Basically boot into single user mode
w/ a Live CD of some sort, edit a file, reboot.

It is not a live Linux DVD, I take it that Live means you can run linux
from the DVD. It is just a downloaded disc image from Fedora.

I burned this to disc and the Install seemed to be flawless. I chose
upgrade an old system and made dinner.
BUT, on rebooting from new system, I get a screen that has my name...
but my passw
