Hey guys, I thought i'd bring it to the lists' attention that BestBuy has laptop ram real cheap. I just acquired 4 512MB modules (PC2700/DDR SODIMM 333MHZ CL2.5v). They were $40(NR) each! So I upgraded 2 laptops from 512 to 1G, and its like I have twice the computer. I havnt used the new acer much... but with 1G ram, hopefully it will be more usable. I dont know why, but my older laptop seems to run better than my new one (AMD/Intel? Acer/Averatec?) I also noticed that the intel has many speed settings (600mhz to 1.3G), but the amd seems to only have 2 (800mhz/1.6G). Anyway, several folks on the list have recently gotten new low cost lappys that could use some ramming up i bet...
Also, if your up for rebates, CC has the same thing for $35 and the same module for desktop for $25. The CC prices do require rebates, and the rebate is for one stick (so if you get 2, you only get one rebate...).
