Hello folks.

It has been many years since I built a Linux system from scratch, and I
need your help. I have a small Panasonic Toughbook which is a P100mmx with
opl-3sa audio and 640x480 65k LCD. It has two Type II PCMCIA slots, and IR
port, and nothing else. I will have to remove the hd (1.6g or so) and install
Linux on it via a USB drive case and another machine, then reinstall it and
hope it boots.

One kind person suggested DSL and I have dutifully downloaded the ISO.
Since, as I said, it has been a long time, I would like some information from a
patient one among you on this. I would eventually like a small X-windows
environment. For now, though, I need to get some sort of driver to run an
ethernet PCMCIA card so I can get to Linux-based driver sites.

    Suggestions?

Thanks, Jim Darrough
