Hey All - Finding myself with a spare Powerbook G4, I installed Ubuntu on it. After getting annoyed enough times with my fingers reaching for ALT keys and finding 'Command (open apple)' keys, I started playing with xmodmap a little. Now my Command-Keys are ALT and my ALT/Option is 'Super' - that's all find and dandy. My next goal is to figure out how to give myself a right-mouse button. On this keyboard there is this displayed 'enter' key; it's the num_pad enter - in case you turn num_lock on I guess, it's there, right below the crooked and useless laptop version of a numpad. To me, it's no more convenient than the standard enter/return key, so I think he'll make a good candidate for a right mouse button. I used 'xev' to find out the keycode of that key - it's 108. I tried: xmodmap -e "keycode 108 = Pointer_Button3" ...but that didn't seem to work. When I hit that key, nothing really happens (I say "nothing really", because the only thing I've noticed is that if a terminal window has focus, the cursor disappears when I hit that key).
Any suggestions? - Jason Jason LaPier Network Manager TACS / WRRC / NPSO University of Oregon _______________________________________________ EUGLUG mailing list euglug@euglug.org http://www.euglug.org/mailman/listinfo/euglug
