No problem - indeed an automotive (round) style post.
The week before it melted, I hit a particular hard bump

may have moved from that bump and either the post was damaged
(maybe sheared partially off) or the clamp was never tigh

Hi Scott,
If you ever want to stop by and see my car, let me know. I'm not too far from

Frankly, I think people *will* figure it out. There may be lots of
confusion when reading and listing to marketing hype. But when someone goes
to test drive or buy a *EV (fill in P, B, etc), they will know whether or
not it takes gas. And they will decide if the need that "feature" or not.
It's
I believe it is important to maintain the distinction because it will turn into
a marketing and product differentiation nightmare.
If one makes the argument the volt is an ev because it say the volt it can
drive 30 mi? all electric. What about a plug-in-hybrid that only goes 2 miles

The device claims to have no step-up transformer, so I am
led to believe that it has two 120V input cords to combine
(using relays for a shock-free experience) both into the
240V output.

I don't recommend doing this yourself, but as an academic exercise, the
procedure is pretty well covered in the EVDL library. Thanks to Roland

EAA Chapters can usually be tapped into to find a way to re-cast the

Since you are in Silicon Valley, CA I will use one of its zip codes

One thing I've heard of being done is to use two 120v plugs with the neutral
out
and plugged into different circuits to get the two phases. Now you have 220.
