This is not for typical home use but utility-size equipment.
Utilities are used to dealing with stuff like this and if the waste
is significant enough to cost money then they will make sure that
the designer of the equipment knows what to design for.
Not that the typical building transformer is par
I'm not sure sweet is the word I would use. A 400KW charger is going to be
lucky to be 80% efficient. That means 500KW going into it and 100KW wasted as
heat. How much energy is going to be needed just to cool it? The oven in my
kitchen is only 5KW and it gets very hot in 3 minutes. I suppo
Hi Jay, no you cannot remove the OEM VCL programming, but I can and do

for the AC-31 which you have. If you email me at cruis...@live.com I will

The 400kW charger would top up 80% of the Leaf pack (20 of the 24 kWh)
in 1/20 hour, which is 3 minutes. Sweet.

Saw my first Tesla S "in the wild" a couple weeks ago in Lockport, New
York, at an ice cream stand. Didn't manage to catch the owner, however.
After we did the slow circle of the car, we went to the window to place
our order. Then when we turned around, it was gone. Ah, well.

Hello All,
I'm just starting to consider renting a Tesla S for a week in November

It's a bit of a story as to why I'm thinking about it, but the short of

I saw a black Tesla Model S this morning on Rte 40, between Edgewood and
Aberdeen, MD. And a couple of weeks ago I saw another black Model S (not
sure if it was the same one) plugged into a Tesla Charging Station at the
I-95 rest stop in Delaware.

I don't think it's that big a deal. Sure, it dampens the EV community's
feelings. Negative press will affect some early adopters - those who are
interested in an EV but aren't sure if it will be a wise use of their money.
However, as the technology improves and enough people have EVs, there will

Willie , that was an excellent driver review of your EVs, something that
is woefully missing in the media newswires. You gave exactly the
information that people can use.
