As an long time Performance EVer I agree with David 100 percent.
For example my 99 F250 DIESEL (with 327,000 mi.) regularly pulled my EVs 32
foot trailer and 32 foot horse trailer around the western US as well as being
used as a daily tradesmen 200 mile vehicle. All without replacing a battery
