I thought the solar panels near the back were supposedly charging the 12v battery. Of course, if the car is in a garage most of the time, that won't help much. I park outside and have had no problems with the 12v. I don't know the current capacity of the battery. Peri << Annoyed by leaf blower

We have a 2013 Leaf and have replaced the 12V battery. In my opinion this battery should not exist. It's just something to break or wear out. Instead the DC/DC converter should run all the time (yes, it's possible to build such a converter that is efficient at low loads), and there should be som

I guess you would have to calculate amp hours to cranking power if you went lithium. However I suspect the little lithium motorcycle batteries would be best suited as they could survive the constant 14.4 to 13. 8v DC to DC charge. I guess I should check by testing or ask what the charging cycle
