The sensor is indeed attached to one of the battery posts. I took IR temp
readings of the cases during the finish last night and highest temp observed

Thanks EVDL. I PM'd Roger last week and he said the 1-4 setting for Deka GELs
was the best available. He felt the 3rd setting intended for larger Deka's
would be too aggressive. From my observations last week I'm actually
concerned about overcharging.

Thanks to everyone for sharing your knowledge on this charger. I have a 2002
GEM that the previous owner upgraded at the dealer with a package (which he
overpaid for!). The upgrade included Deca Gel batt's and the OEM Delta-Q
charger 7200.
The Gels were dead & gone and I just installed 6 new Life
