BARSTOW — Authorities are searching for an Apple Valley man and a
Victorville man in connection to an armed robbery that occurred last week
near the Chili's Bar and Grill on Lenwood Road.

Authorities said officers from the Barstow Police Department arrived at the
electric vehicle charging station behind the restaurant around 11:54 p.m.
Jan. 21 after a 911 call from the victim, who reported that he was robbed at
gunpoint by two men at the charging station.

The victim reported that the suspects approached him while he was charging
his vehicle and that one of the suspects pointed a handgun at him and forced
him out of his car. The victim reported that the suspects robbed him of his
personal jewelry, credit cards and other property. The suspects also stole
the victim’s 2014 Tesla — a high-end electric car — and drove off in it. The
victim ran from the area to a local business and called 911.

Several officers responded, contacted the victim at the scene and began
checking the area for his vehicle and the suspects. Police officers found
the victim’s Tesla crashed into a metal barrier in front of one of the gas
pumps at an Arco station down the road, and the suspects had fled from the
area.

Authorities arrived and began searching the victim’s vehicle for evidence,
including fingerprints. Suspect fingerprints were located and sent to the
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department for identification. An examiner
identified the prints and connected them to Anthony Eugene Lott Jr., of
Victorville. It was learned that Lott Jr. is currently on parole for
burglary.

Further investigation led police to a second suspect, Eric Anthony Lemus, a
former resident of Barstow who currently resides in Apple Valley and is on
felony probation.

On Friday, authorities said Barstow Police detectives traveled to Adelanto,
Victorville and Apple Valley and searched for Lott Jr. and Lemus at several
locations. Neither of the subjects have been located. It is believed that
police officers may have located the gun used in the robbery, but
authorities said the subjects should still be considered armed and
dangerous.

The victim positively identified Lott Jr. and Lemus as the two robbery
suspects from photographic line-ups. Barstow Police officers and detectives
are actively searching for Lott Jr. and Lemus.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects is urged
to call the Barstow Police Department at 760-256-2211.
