Terran, I'm curious if PINES has had problems with deadlocks when
working with bib records, as reported in this bug:

We held off on implementing Did You Mean locally due to some other bugs
that have since been resolved, but that one still makes

We're going to implement this along with a big staff account cleanup
project we'll be doing this year. One thing I noticed was that it blocks
expired staff from logging into the public OPAC too, whereas a regular
patron can still log into the public OPAC after their account expires.

Thank you, a few of our libraries use the action trigger to alert patrons that
their cards is coming up for renewal and were hoping to do the same, but just
for staff accounts. Is that how you notify staff?

We’ve implemented this. We let people know beforehand, and have used it as a
way, #1 to remind libraries to be actively managing their staff accounts and #2
hold individuals with continuing ed requirements (generally catalogers)
accountable for staying current on those requirements.
