Yes, you can disable the triggers for the "Did You Mean" feature while
running the batch ingest. See the attached script.
That being said, I don't think the indexes used by the "Did

At UPEI’s Robertson Library we are experiencing difficulties batch ingesting
MARC records into Evergreen 3.8. The process for ingesting is very slow and
some records fail to properly import.
According to Equinox tech support, the problem in part appears to be a new
feature in 3.8
