That is what we do, Jennifer! We have barcodes that we use only for ILLs.
It is so much easier for circ staff and doesn't leave precat numbers to
delete.

You should be able to run a report; load the barcodes into item status and
then delete in batch.

We currently leave it up to our libraries to delete pre-cats (though I
know it is possible to identify and delete them in batch in the
database if you have access).

and over again to lower the number of pre-cats that
In PINES, libraries are responsible for cleanup and processing of precats.
Which means some libraries take care of them as soon as they are returned
