Hi all, Today I opened a bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/2051382) to remove the SlimPAC code. This is an interface that was developed alongside the original Evergreen OPAC to accommodate users whose browsers didn't support JavaScript or for users with accessibility needs. It has

We’ve been using Groovix for all of that for about 15 years. (We don’t have reservations, but it is there if we wanted to.) Most of that time we’ve run it on tiny micro-PCs of one kind or another. (Asus EEEBox, Optiplex Micro, Zotac ZBox, etc) Been very happy with it… probably the best customer

Hi William, We do something similar to CW MARS. We created a Claimed Returned status for this situation. There are options to make a status not holdable and not opac visible, both of which might be useful for this case. 1.Does the circulation remain open (still checked out to the patron)

Hello Kevin, good to hear from you. We currently use Cassie with our chromebooks that we checkout for in library use along with Google Workspace management. We check them out for the day, so we don't really need the Cassie computer management, but using it for printing made that part easy.

Hi, William: CW MARS using a status for this that we call "Claimed Returned". Some more answers below: Claims Returned item status: 1.Does the circulation remain open (still checked out to the patron) Yes and No. As far as the patron is concerned, it's returned, but it does stay open in

We don't use Claims Returned/Claims Never Checked Out. Patrons see those items in their online account and call to say, "I told you I returned that." After the patron and library have made a thorough search, we will forgive a Claim one time. We mark the item Lost (if it hasn't already gone to

Good afternoon, Currently NC Cardinal does not have a value set up at the consortium level for the Claim Return Copy Status, so a claims returned item remains in the Checked Out item status. As a result, patrons are still able to view the item in the catalog and place holds on it. We are

Hello Kevin, We're using about 300 chrome devices (chromeboxes and chromebooks) across multiple public libraries. We run them in managed guest session mode, so patron website history and downloads are wiped when they log out. The machines are very secure and easy to push changes out, add or
