Iain,
Now, it works like a charm.
Thanks

Stack trace? Without the evolution-mail trace it'll be hard to track
down.

When I look at a message, whether opened or in the preview pane, and I
try to print it, it kills evolution-mail component.

Hi,
Perhaps a silly question, but what is the unmatched vfolder for?
What is it showing as unmatched? Ie, if I have 30 folders with
approx 300 mails in each and I have different vfolders across
a couple of these folders but not some other folders, what is
unmatched going to show me? Can I read
You have to turn it on in the account editor.

So is there a switch to have it filter automatically, or is this
supposed to just happen? Mine have never filtered. Is that my server not
marking them, or Evo just not filtering as they arrive?

I had a similar issue. I deleted all my contact sources and then added

That's because IMAP only allows a single folder to be selected at a
time, thus if you are reading mail in "My Folder", how is evo supposed
to filter mail in INBOX? It can't.
If you want filtering to happen as new mail arrives, then you'll have to
do server-side filtering.

Run evolution from one terminal
wait for the splash screen to disappear.
Open a new terminal and run evolution again without quiting the first
instance. A new shell window should open.

IMAP filters are only applied when *new* mail arrives in the INBOX
folder - what I mean by *new* is that the server declares them as
"\Recent" or whatever.
Evolution also has available a manual "filter these selected messages
now" option, that might help.

Has anyone tried updating RH to 7.2 from a previous RH/Ximian
install? Does it work well? Any tips?
When I went from RH6.2/Ximian to RH7.1 things didn't go well
but I'm not sure if it was _supposed_ to work. RH's install
program couldn't handle upgrading with the Ximian packages
installed.

Hi,
There's an Exchange server here with an address list that I'd like to

current server: EXCHANGE01
address book hierarchy path: \Global Address List
So what do I enter into the address book so

It's the same binary as the RH 70/71 channels, and yes, you generally
have to be running a distro before a distro-specific channel shows up.

P.S. Janne- I anticipate that we'll continue to be doing snapshots for

I don't see the RH 7.2 snapshot in Red Carpet. I did the refresh, no
dice. Am I missing something here? Must I be running RH 7.2 in order
to have access to said snapshot?

Whohoo! I can get my daily fix again!
BTW: when evolution reaches 1.0 or 1.1, snapshots will maybe not be done
anymore. Will you start on another piece of software we can watch grow
from ulcer-inducing to great?

Last night I tried to install Ximian desktop on a fresh test system of

Why on earth would balsa, among a few other apps, be listed as a
necessary removal to install Ximian desktop?
Is Ximian trying to dictate what app to use? I currently feel there are
shades of MS appearing.

Hello,
I am new to Evolution, so forgive me if I am repeating a previous
question (I have seen similar things mentioned).
I am using Evolution to read mail on an IMAP server. When Evolution is
running and connected to the server, filters are applied to incoming
messages as I would expect.
