I try to upgrade directly from the rpms the latest evolution from the
0.10 version in one out of date Ximian-gnome desktop, and the next error
dialog appear:
Cannot initialize the Ximian Evolution shell: Configuration Database

What package should be missing?
Thanks in advance
i found the solution...
a script called for example evomail (put it in ~/bin for example) and
chmod +x evomail.
#!/bin/bash
evolution mailto:$1;
in opera, put evomail in the mail field...

I had the same problem. It turned out that I had multiple copies of some
programs like wombat or oafd. I suggest you do a locate on wombat, oaf,
bonobo, etc. and make sure you don't have multiple copies on your
computer. For example in /usr/lib and in /usr/local/lib.

NotZed may consider this off-topic merely by virtue of the fact that it's a topic Not

Hi,
I'm using RH 7.1. My Window Manager is sawfish.
I have just finished download the actual snapshot via red-carpet.
First evo didn't started at all.
After quiting my session and clearing my /tmp and ~/.gconf* dirs evo went
up, calling itself RC1 and cleared all my calendar and task entry's
evolution-alarm-notify somehow does not get started until I click on the
clendar folder.
Also, in a threaded view, if you do cntr-h, cntr-d, the current message
advances by 1 which is typically one of the deleted messages of the
thread I wanted to skip. It would be nicer (imho) if it skipped

I'll chime in with a Not me!
I am running RedHat 6.2, and I did not encounter these problems. I
always run killev before upgrading. I may also have run oaf-slay and
gconftool -shutdown.
On Tue,
It's bug 14067. RC 1 will not be released until it is fixed.

hey...
was wondering if anyone else had noticed this: using the mouse wheel to
scroll in an evolution folder, if the folder has large content (eg
evolution-user list here has ~4700 messages) the scrolling is far slower
than one with less messages.
in a folder with 150 messages the scrolling

I may have found the bug which was causing this - a nasty buffer
overrun. Though I can't reproduce the problem so I can't say for sure.
We think the problem was only in the last snapshot, so avoid that one if
you can.
Also, please let us know if it is fixed in the next one.
Sorry if anyone
