Hi,
How can I get japanese input working for mails in evolution? Usually I
start an application with a script like this one (for sylpheed):
export LANG=ja_JP
export LC_CTYPE=ja_JP
export XMODIFIERS="@im=kinput2"
export LANGUAGE=en_US

Then I have english menus and japanese input with k
The problem is that in order to lock a mailbox, the program that does it

At the moment I'm using fetchmail to fetch my various mail items and

sets it back to 775 - in this case evolution complains that it can't
lock the file.

Hello all,
I have two problems with Evolution that I can't seem to figure out.
The first has to do with spell-checking while composing a new message.
When I mis-spell a word in the compose window it highlights the word. I
can then right-click on the word to get suggestions. However, when I g
I get the same complaints from people who read my e-mails in Outlook,
because I always GPG sign them. I'm worried this may cause people to
delete my e-mails without reading them in fear of it being a virus.
My suggestion would be to implement straight-text signing of e-mails, as

Do this:
1. Select Tools->Mail Settings
2. Edit your default account
3. Select the Security tab
4. Check the "Always sign outgoing messages when using this account"
button.
5. Click ok & you're good to go.

I'm confused
You have the option of always signing messages originating from each of
your mail accounts. Since the signature is associated with an address,
you select the mail account properties. Under the Security tab, you can
select "Always sign outgoing messages when using this account". I've

Is there a way to set Evolution to automatically sign all outgoing
messages, or do I have to go to Security-->PGP Sign every time? I can't
seem to find an option under mail settings to do this.
Thanks!

I have had the same problem as well. It only happens when I send

The messages display fine in Evolution, but have the body as an

The situation is that the new control center has a bug that causes
problems for the capplets using the old control center. The most recent

The problem I'm seeing is that the quoted text is NOT indented, and it
doesn't come across as indented when I send it. This is a bug which
should be fixed. Not having the ">" I can understand.

It's the "fixed width font" in the HTML Viewer control center applet.

Plain text is quoted with "> "s, HTML is quoted with indentation. If you
respond in plain text to a message which contains only HTML and no

Hi All,
I use Evolution as my mail client and Galeon as my browser.
When I click on a mailto: link in Galeon (or any browser in GNOME) I
want Evolution to handle the request.
It does not seem that evolution has a commandline option that I can
configure in the MIME settings.
How can I do this?
is there a way to automatically open a "create a new task" window
via commandline? and what about automatically open the "contacts"
window from commandline?
